ARC Community Learning Circles: A Freirean Approach
The three sessions, facilitated by Dr. Steve Kroeger, are on Thursdays: October 15; October 29; November 12 at 12:00 – 1:15PM (Eastern Time)
These virtual circles are designed to unite individuals committed to making change in their communities and to support community members in facilitating action research projects. The series of three learning circles are open to everyone; no organization, academic affiliation, or prior attendance is necessary to attend. We do ask that you attend all three sessions, as they build on each other.
The learning circles provide a space to use low-stakes drawing processes to depict some aspect of your current lived experience; enter a dialogue using Freire’s process with your drawings; and identify a small action to support further reflection. All are welcome! No prior art experience is needed.
